What Happened:
Kyle R. was placed in the home of Dr. Patrick Clyne, Santa Clara County’s chief pediatrician for foster children, when he was just a fourth grader in 1995, and was sexually abused there. He reported the abuse repeatedly over the years to police, a probation officer, his mother, and even a criminal grand jury, but the system ignored him at every turn, and Clyne continued working with children for decades. The abuse left Kyle with PTSD, depression, anxiety, nightmares, and lasting difficulty trusting others – wounds he has carried for more than 25 years while fighting to be believed.
“It is a very hard thing to stand up for yourself in my situation. But through perseverance and searching for some form of justice, I can sleep a little easier knowing I have made an impact against the evil that is out there.”
